| When I was about seven years old my

| | gypsum weeds, and we can have the battle
|
| cousin Allen was ten.Being much older
| |
| | of the grain drill while my Uncle is
|
| than myself he of course was allowed to
| |
| | pulling it across the field. Gypsum weeds
|
| do a lot more than me; and one of the
| |
| | are these weeds that grow in the
|
| things he got to do, was go to the movies
| |
| | Mississippi river bottom with big ole
|
| with his friends. This worked out pretty
| |
| | thorny balls on them the size of golf
|
| well, as the next week at some point ,I
| |
| | balls. Needless to say it didn't take one
|
| would get a complete rundown and vivid
| |
| | trip across the field to produce a bloody
|
| description of what went on in which ever
| |
| | mess in the loser of the battle, and when
|
| movie he happened to go to that week.
| |
| | I went home my mom was ticked I wasn't
|
| Well actually I guess he kind of acted
| |
| | allowed to play with my cousin for two
|
| out certain scenes for realism sake Not
| |
| | weeks.
|
| saying he got to go to a movie every
| |
| | Then Allen and his friends went to see
|
| week;, no we were just farm kids ,maybe
| |
| | Tarzan I should have stayed away. Over at
|
| once a month if he was lucky. I think the
| |
| | Allen's house he had a barn with two hay
|
| first movie I remember hearing about was
| |
| | mows; one on each side ,with an area in
|
| Robin Hood .Allen was really impressed by
| |
| | the middle large enough to park tractors
|
| the scene where Robin Hood fought Friar
| |
| | and equipment .There were two ropes
|
| Tuck on the log with poles Kind of like
| |
| | hanging from the center beam So Allen has
|
| pugal sticks. Well Allen had to show me
| |
| | this great Idea , we could each grab a
|
| so we found a couple of good sized pugal
| |
| | rope, One get in one hay mow the other in
|
| sticks in the woods and started battling.
| |
| | the other hay mow swing over to the other
|
| It didn't take long for me to be losing
| |
| | side with one little addition. We would
|
| big time and when I went home with mashed
| |
| | try to knock the other one off on our way
|
| fingers and a knot on the back of my head
| |
| | across. As my older cousin out weighed me
|
| ;My mom wouldn't let me play with him for
| |
| | by probably 80 lbs You can only guess the
|
| a week.
| |
| | outcome .But I survived that and High
|
| The next movie as I recall was Ben Hur
| |
| | School football, College football, and
|
| ;Of course everyone knows about the
| |
| | Viet Nam I guess all the preparation for
|
| chariot race well seems we had a John
| |
| | life's hard knocks paid off. Today my
|
| Deere grain drill with a wood platform on
| |
| | cousin Allen is the pastor of a church in
|
| the back intended for use to stand on
| |
| | Missoula Montana Still helping people
|
| while filling the drill from sacks of
| |
| | make preparations for life however I
|
| grain. But also it was a cool place to
| |
| | don't think he goes to many movies
|
| ride for a couple of farm kids. Well
| |
| | anymore Thank God.
|
| Allen has a great idea ;lets get some
