A leisurely ride on the ranch

Selah Morgans was founded in 1999 and there are Morgans with the "Selah" prefix across the U.S, and as far away as Belgium, the UK, the Netherlands, and Canada. We enjoy sharing our enthusiasm and love of the breed with newcomers, other breeders or owners. If you are new to the Morgan breed we'd love to introduce you the tradition that perpetuated the best of the Morgans historic past!

We are passionate about preserving the old government bloodlines in our program with an emphasis on the prestigious UVM bloodlines from the University of Vermont Morgan Horse Farm. We've carefully selected mares with other successful lineage to produce exceptional offspring with a willing attitude, and the conformation that will enable them to excel in whatever discipline their owners are passionately pursuing.

The UVM prefix in our Morgan pedigrees denotes the dedication, preservation and improvement of the Morgan horse breed through careful selection and breeding since the 1870's. The University of Vermont Morgan horse program was once owned by the US Government (1907) when Morgans were under the careful direction of the US Government Morgan Horse Farm Remount Program. The farm was eventually turned over to the University in 1959, where it continues to prosper today. We are honored to carry the tradition forward in our foals that trace in high percentage to the champion bloodlines of: UVM Promise, UVM Watchman, UVM Highlight, UVM Kathy, UVM Lash, UVM Flash, UVM Teatime, UVM Tennyson, UVM Unity, and others.

Our registered Brahmans are a new adventure and we are excited to see where this new journey takes us!
